Question #1

To get this started i will ask our friend UberJnell a question and when she has time she is to figure out the answer and post it so that everyone is a little bit smatter. Please be however detailed you feel like being.

here is your assignment UberJnell:

How did the gun on Nintendo's Duck Hunt work?

Comments:
When you squeez the trigger, the nintendo changes the image of a duck to all white. If you're aiming in the right spot the gun will detect a change from dark to white. So, basically the TV is emitting a light pulse where the duck is. If the light sensor in the gun detects this, then it sends a signal to the game console that you hit the duck.

I did notice that some idiot actually posted on the internet that the gun sends an electron beam, which is picked up by a cathode tube inside the TV and then sent to the nintendo.
